For Real Estate Agents

Damon Shortt Real Estate & Auction Group (DSRAG) invites real estate agents to consider the auction process in representing buyers and marketing their listings.

There are two ways the auction process can be beneficial to you as a real estate agent:

  1. Registering a buyer at our auction or
  2. List one or more of your properties for auction with us

How to register a buyer at our auction

If you have a buyer that is interested in a property we are offering for auction, you can represent that buyer by properly filling out our broker participation form. If your buyer is the successful bidder, you can earn a commission at closing. In order to register your buyer properly, you must:

  1. Have an active and current real estate license in the state where the auction is being conducted
  2. Submit a completed broker participation form no later than 24 hours prior to the auction
  3. Show the property to your prospective buyer
  4. Attend the auction with the buyer
  5. Assist in coordinating closing procedures

Listing your property for auction with Damon Shortt Real Estate & Auction Group

Another way for you to earn a commission by working with us is to sell one or more of your listings at auction with our company.

Why consider an auction for your listing?

If you have any of these types of properties listed below, you may want to consider an auction as an alternative marketing tool:

  • A listing that has been on the market for an extended period of time
  • A listing that is about to expire
  • A property that your client wants to convert to cash quickly
  • Pre-foreclosure properties
  • Estate properties
  • Large inventory of properties
  • High demand, broad market properties where competitive bidding drives up the selling price

How to offer your listing in a Damon Shortt Real Estate & Auction Group auction

  • Agent must have an active and current real estate license in the state where the auction is being conducted
  • A Damon Shortt Real Estate & Auction Group auction agreement must be completed and added to the listing
  • Agent will keep the sign and lock box on the property, show the property by appointment, conduct an open house, attend the auction and assist in coordinating the closing
  • Agent must provide Damon Shortt Real Estate & Auction Group with all necessary information regarding the property in order for us to properly promote the property

We also offer a referral fee on a case by case basis for real estate agents who may not want to actively participate in the auction process.
